Political art. I think every artist should strive to make a statement about the condition of the world and its inhabitants. That's what I miss about 80s music. People weren't afraid to sing out about real issues. Today, groups like the Dixie Chicks are told to just shut up and sing. No one wants a message with their music, and so we just bobble our heads around to nothingness.
